Church organist Ron Jeffery looks pleased as punch as he poses with a cardboard cut-out of Marilyn Monroe during a summer fayre.
New Mill Baptist Church in Tring opened its doors to the community during a Summer Fayre to raise cash towards church renovations.

On Saturday (July 19) visitors could pose with cardboard cut-outs of well known movie stars like Indiana Jones.

There was also lots of fun activities for children including a bouncy castle and adults could browse stalls selling bric-a-brac and other goodies.

Reverend David Norkett said: "It was a much needed fundraising effort. The fayre is held most years and we hope some of the people will start coming to church if they enjoyed the event."

The day raised around £1,000 for the church in New Road which will go towards replacing the church hall's windows. New windows in the listed victorian building are expected to cost in the region of £2,000 each to make and fit.
