Shot security guard leaves hospital

A security guard shot during a raid at Tesco in Tring has been released from hospital.
The 46-year-old from Harrow was left fighting for his life after being ambushed by masked raiders as he filled the store's two cashpoints.
During the surprise attack at around 7.30am on Tuesday, September 16, the guard was shot in the leg.
A 33-year-old shopper from Hemel Hempstead who intervened was also shot. He returned home from Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury last month (September).
The two thieves made off with a cash container on a stolen motorcycle.
Police have refused to say how much money was taken.
Tesco and Group Four Securicor - the firm the security guard works for - have jointly put up a £25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the gunmen.
