Man re-bailed in hit and run case

A man arrested in connection with a fatal hit and run along a dark country road has been re-bailed by police.
The 49-year-old from Tring was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after 71-year-old cyclist Jim Loveridge was killed when his bike collided with a car.

It happened along Wingrave Road in Long Marston on Sunday, July 6 at around 10.30pm.

The driver of the car involved failed to stop at the scene.

The arrested man, who has not been named by police, was re-bailed by officers on Friday (September 19) until Tuesday, October 14 while the investigation continues.
