Grants to help community groups have been handed out by Tring Town Council.
During a meeting councillors considered three new requests for funding.

On Monday, September 1, they agreed to give £500 towards the town's annual Christmas Festival and gave the same amount to help fund a children's competition to design a Christmas light.

The two winning designs will be made into real festive lights by Tring Together and displayed in Church Square during December.

The 1066 Club, which is a group for blind and partially sighted people was given £150.

Each year the town council allocates money from its budget to give to deserving local groups.
