Volunteers have been rewarded for giving up their spare time to help within the community.
Tring Learning Centre handed out awards to three well known faces who regularly dedicate their time to projects.

Peter Coneron, a former Tring Town Councillor, was presented with an accolade for his work on the learning centre's community board.

Centre community relations manager Heather Simms said: "Peter does a huge amount for the community in Tring.
"He supports the community board by giving a community view and representing different bodies.
"He is someone who can link people and bring them together."

This is the first year that the centre, based within Tring School, has given out the awards. They were judged by community board chairman Grahame Senior and Tring School head teacher Julia Wynd.

Awards were also presented to Mary Collins who runs the sheltered housing complex Emma Rothschild Court. She links sixth form students up with residents for life story projects.

And Colin Sturges was given an accolade for running a photography course at the learning centre and judging a photograph competition.

Mrs Simms said: "We wanted to congratulate and thank them for what they do."
