Where's Wally? On the golf course stealing the show!
Wally Jennings had a real Champagne moment when he shot a score under his age.
The 84-year-old Redbourn Golf Club member carded 81 last week, much to the former Kodak worker's delight.
"It was absolutely brilliant, my lowest round ever," said Wally, who plays off a handicap of 20.
"My driving and putting were both superb, everything I hit on the greens seemed to be sucked into the hole."
A keen cricketer in his younger days, Wally turned to golf when he retired 27 years ago, forming a group called The Wallys that play friendly competitions twice a week - a group still going strong today.
As a reward for his sterling performance Redbourn general manager Tristan Hall presented Wally with a bottle of Champagne.
He said: "It's a marvellous achievement for a senior golfer to shoot below their age and we are extremely pleased Wally has managed to achieve that feat with such a brilliant round of golf.
"Wally is a popular member of the golf club and it is always a pleasure to see him taking such an active role here after 27 years."
Wally jennings, 84, celebrates his score of 81.
