The Hatch End Hawks lacrosse team started the new year with a sterling performance against a strong Clapham side in the Rosebowl development league.

Hawks matched Clapham in the first 15 minutes, with junior players Caity Patrick and Celia Sommer both on target.

Spurred on by this start, Hawks began to dominate and went in at half-time with a 7-3 lead.

Clapham responded well, but the Hawks were not to be denied and eventually ran out 13-6 victors.

Hawks Rosebowl captain Debbie Sumner said: “The Rosebowl League is all about developing players, and our juniors are certainly stepping up to the mark and becoming an integral part of the Hawks Squad.”
