Rovers Peace together five star performance to take final spot

West Herts Saturday League Premier Division side Hemel Rovers made it to the final of the Watford Peace Shield with a 5-3 defeat of Hadley.

A good all round team performance saw five players get on the score sheet.

Paul Hanafan, Michael Tearle (pen), Jake Seabourne, Ray Wood and Tom Porter all struck.

Tring Athletic A were also hoping to reach the final but crashed 5-1 at home to Martin Baker.

In the Premier Division SWR Doors' relentless march towards the title saw them dispose of fellow championships hopefuls Kings Sports by way of a 5-3 scoreline.

Aaron Lewis was on target again with two strikes, with Dan Oliver, Alfie Mullan and Jeff Mensah also in scoring form for Doors.

Inter Hemel were away at Sun Postal Rovers and came away with the points in a 4-2 victory. Duncan Cockling scored twice, while Craig Cockling and Ben Davies bagged one apiece.

Division One leaders Hemel Rovers Reserves grabbed the points at Oxhey Wanderers in an exciting 4-3 win.

Imran Ahmed scored his first of two strikes inside 30 seconds while Phil Newton scored two from the spot.

Second place Swr Doors Reserves also kept in touch at the top by beating Harpenden Rovers A 2-1, Ross Eddy and Richard Wade both scoring.

Bovingdon's for continues to slide – they crashed 5-0 at home to St Albans Sports.

Division Two side Potten End came away from Langleybury winning by the odd goal in seven, Simon Gill, Ben Beer and Gavin Beale (2) all on the mark in the 4-3 victory.

Hemel Rovers A lost by the same scoreline to Mill End A, Darnell Ewerse (2) and Lee Thorne their scorers while Tring Athletic B went down 4-1 at home to Rickmasnworth St George.
