Raiders come close but lose out to spot-on Boars in Sunday League cup

AFC BOARS won their League Senior Cup tie with rivals Berko Raiders after extra time and a penalty shoot out.
The Premier Division high-flyers converted four of their efforts from 12 yards compared to Raiders' two, after Anthony Edes (Raiders) and Warren Drysale (Boars) had notched in normal time during the 3rd round tie.
A win would have been a coup for Raiders, who are third in Division One.
A goalfest saw Herald United progress to the 4th round of the League Intermediate Cup.
Kevin Price, Scott Carrington, Matt Beresford and Scott Porter all notched as they saw off Warners End (Tommy Venner, Glenn Childs, Ned Ozkasim).
Elsewhere Top of the World (Gareth Carder, James Rogers, o.g) went through by beating Hemel Abbots (Gareth Clare) 3-1, while KLCC AMS progressed with the same scoreline against Haven, Liam Schutes scoring twice and Ben Vause once.
The Midland were awarded a place in the 4th round after their game with Green Park Rovers was postponed.
Taking advantage of Boars' absence from league action were fellow Premier Division title contenders Berko Tornadoes and Gossoms End.
The former beat Landrovers 1-0 thanks to a solitary Craig Anscomb strike and the latter saw off Leverstock Green Centurians 2-1.
Luke Butler and Colin Gower were on target for the second-placed side, Sean Fletcher netting for struggling Centurians.
Elsewhere the spoils were shared between Bovingdon Rangers and Hemel Town Celtic in a 2-2 draw.
Josh Budney and James Bundey netted for Celtic.
Comets (Ray Wood) and AC Daniels (David Dixon) also shared the points following a 1-1 draw.
Paul Hanafan and Steve Hiett were the headline grabbers in Division One.
Hanafan bagged four as AC Hemel beat struggling Tring Royals (Matt Eadie, Chris Rogers) 5-2 with Jez Downes getting the other goal, while Hiett did the same for Cementaprise in their surprise 7-1 thrashing of Berko Rangers (Darren Caseman).
Louis Charles was on target twice for Cementaprise, and Andrew Cooper once.
Flaunden kept their unbeaten streak going as they beat second-placed Old Grey Mare 3-2 in a real six-pointer thanks to Matt Hatchett, Eddie Lawrence and Jamie Hatchett.
Peter Hay and Greg Dormer scored for Mare.
Greenacres II (Alex Kingsley, Dean Roper) and Bennetts Hemel (Joe Phillips (2)) drew two apiece.
Division Two, and with the top two in cup action Mokoko closed the gap as they beat Landrovers Reserves 2-1 (Richard Wade) thanks to strikes from John Gatenby and Jason Long.
Park Rangers remain as title contenders after Lee Franklin (2) and Adam Chaplin scored to beat BSI FC 3-1 (Adam Hill notching for BSI).
Meanwhile bottom side Adeyfield won 2-0 at Castlemead thanks to a Peter Austin brace and fellow strugglers Archers Revenge (Kenny Fitzgerald, Gerald Davies) won 2-1 at DPFC (Gareth Evans).
Comets Reserves hammered Shaka (Byron Mills) 9-1 in Division Three to keep up their record of eight games played, eight won.
Tom Murnaghan (3), John Walker (2), Jack Stickings (2), Jordan Mellor and Rob Holmes were all on target.
A total of 19 goals were scored in the division's two games, the other nine coming in AMG United's 6-3 defeat of The George.
Matt Shrimpton stole the show for AMG with four goals, with Marc Knight and Matt Richardson also notching, while James Hood, Josh Leeson and Jamie Merrick hit consolations for The George.
The Queens Head (Brad Tyson, Duncan Allen) maintained their strong position in Division Four with a 2-1 defeat of The Gade (Danny Fielding) as top side Berkhamsted Tornadoes Reserves (John Murray, Dave Bayliss) were beaten by Stuart Green's hat-trick, and goals from fellow Anchor Tring players Carl Baker and Ben Tiffin in a 5-2 scoreline.
The Old Bell (Ricky Jones, Aaron Honey, Terry Upham) won 3-2 at Palace (James Taylor (2)), Leverstock Green Centurians Reserves beat Inter Hemel Sunday 3-0 - Paul Greenway, Danny Allen and Tim Whitehead finding the target, while AC Grapes and The Old Bell Gate drew 2-2 in their game.
Tom Hill and Juan Villar were Grapes' scorers, with Kirren Taylor and Matt Williams finding the net for Gate.
