With a best place finish of 17th in the Hemel Hempstead racer’s second-ever touring car race – only his third-ever outing in a touring car – he is raising aims even higher at one of his favourite venues on the calendar.

With more work taken out on his #12 RCIB Insurance Racing/Team Hard Toyota Avensis after Brand Hatch, he seeks to move forward with team-mates Jake Hill and Chris Smiley.

Michael commented: “Brands was a bit of a throwaway weekend when you look back at it.

“With such a last minute build and so much to sort out, we weren’t able to just focus on racing and being quick.

“There were a few little tweaks here or there that we needed but didn’t have to time to make that weekend, so now the car has been given a thorough work-over for Donington, I’m raring to get out there and go for it!”

With a good record of domination at Donington for Epps, winning double-header rounds in both Formula Vee and VW Racing Cup around the national circuit in previous seasons, he is certainly looking to make his mark in the three races on April 17.

Watch all the action unfold live on ITV4 from 10:30am on Sunday.
