Tring 8-10 CS Rugby

In a low-scoring affair, Tring took the lead with a penalty, before the visitors responded with a kick of their own to send the sides in level at half-time.
And it was the away side who struck first after the break as they ran in a converted try to take a 10-3 lead.
Tring had the chance to level things up after Liam Chennells went over for a try for the hosts, but the conversion attempt was missed and CS Rugby held on for the win.
Next up for Tring is a trip to Bishop’s Stortford on Saturday afternoon.
Elsewhere, it was better news for the Tring Colts as they beat Hitchin Colts 27-13 to progress to the next round of the National Colts Cup plate competition
Tring were good value for the win and used the game to blood a number of new players.
Debuts were given to Oliver Holt and Angus Tidy who both contributed to a good all-round team effort.
Two tries from man of the match Olly O’Gorman and two from Tommy Ward secured the deserved Tring win.
