Tring-based triathlete Amy Kilpin came second in her age group at the National Middle Distance Triathlon Championships in the Grafman Middle – earning her with a silver medal and a national title.

Just two years after her first foray into triathlon, Amy is a rising star in the sport, with the podium placing following on from an overall win at the Thorpe Triathlon just one week before.

A middle distance triathlon comprises a 1.9km swim, a 90km bike and a 21km run.

This year, Amy will be flying out to represent Great Britain at the European Middle Distance Triathlon Championships in Mallorca, before battling it out at the European Long Distance Triathlon Championships in Amsterdam.

Amy is sponsored and supported locally by Lovelo Cycle Works, Emma James Physio and Sportspace, while her coach is Berkhamsted-based Rick Kiddle.
