Jumping Jack's chance to make history

Jet-skiing superstar Jack Moule will become British champion once again with a win on the water this weekend.

The two times national and British Jet-Ski Freestyle champion, from Markyate, faces the last round of the 2010 British Championship at Willen Lakes, Milton Keynes on Saturday and Sunday.

With the pressure on, the 16 year old is confident he can claim a trio of titles with victory at his local lake.

"I'm looking forward to the last round," he said. "Although the pressure's on, it's like a local venue for me and I'm hoping lots of my family and friends will come to cheer me on and I always seem to do well under pressure."

Jack is currently leading the 900cc Expert class, the middle of three levels of racing in the UK, and is the youngest competitor in the British Freestyle Competition.

He won national fame thanks to his becoming two-time national champion at just 14 years of age, appearing on TV shows including Blue Peter, Sportsround and BBC Breakfast TV.

His dad, a mechanic, and mum are a huge support for the freestyle prodigy.

And he will be even more reliant upon the pair when, in October this year, he heads Stateside to try out for the world title.

"That's the one I'd really like," said Jack, who will ski at Lake Havasu in Arizon.

"But just going and competing against the best freestylers in the world is amazing, and the weather's great too!"

Jack skies at Nitrojet Action Lakes in Oxfordshire and Six Hills Lakes in Leicestershire, where he practices tough tricks including the double barrel roll and the nose stab.

Having just finished at school, he will now take a year out to concentrate fully on his development on the water.
