High fives for Tring thirds at Broxbourne

Tring ladies’ third XI were in free scoring form as they thrashed Broxbourne fifths 5-0.

Tring started strongly and opened the scoring with a well worked goal from Daisy Goldhagen, and she followed this up with a second to make it 2-0 at the break.

The second half began with Tring pressing forward, and Amy Park added two excellently taken goals.

Goldhagen then completed her hat-trick with a calmly taken effort, laid on by Emma Boddington, to wrap up the victory.

The win sees Tring move into second place in the table.

The men’s seconds, however, suffered a 3-1 loss in a fiercely fought bottom of the table clash with Wokingham.

Tring took the lead 10 minutes into the first half as a short corner struck by Richard Sharp came off the keeper and Will Steed was on hand to tap it into the net.

However, the lead didn’t last long, and when a loose pass fell to the opposition forward he took his chance to beat Dave Bryant in goal.

Despite being level, Tring started to give possession away too easily and another Wokingham attack saw the ball heading for goal, only for it to hit David Ferguson’s foot.

Wokingham made no mistake from the penalty flick to take a 2-1 lead into half-time.

Tring started more positively in the second half with two fine efforts from Steed, but another lapse in defence saw Wokingham round off their win with a third.
