Hemel stags to join Championship One

An exciting future lies ahead for rugby league in Hemel following the announcement that Hemel Stags will make the step up to semi-professional level at the start of the 2013 season.

In a press conference held at Stags’ Pennine Way ground, Hemel chairman Bob Brown and RFL chief operating officer Ralph Rimmer confirmed that the club will be plying their trade in the re-vamped Championship One competition.
