Ryan Woosley took two wickets but at a cost of 52 runs from his four overs.

Needing to score at more than 10 an over Hemel opener Matt Dale went for it from the start scoring 26 off 19 balls. However once he had been caught in the deep, only captain Ed Langley with 18 made any impression against the Harpenden attack and they were dismissed for 122 in the 16th over. Aurthur Garrett,w ho represents Warwickshire at Under 14 level, took 3-10 off three overs.

Harpenden are now favourites to win the group and go through to September’s finals day. Only Harpenden defeats in both their remaining matches with Dunstable and Redbourn would put Hemel through.
