Good Haule for Tudors

Colin Payne has his hopes pinned on two brothers who should sign for Hemel Hempstead Town tonight (Thursday).

Brian and Davis Haule both impressed in the Tudors' first pre-season friendly win, against Chalfont St Peter on Tuesday night.

Striker Brian, 26, got the only goal in the 1-0 victory over the MSSML Premier League runners-up and could have had another as he saw a one-on-one saved.

Both he and brother Davis, 26, an attacking midfielder, who got 45 minutes each on Tuesday, would both join from Ryman Premier League clubs.

Payne is hoping they are joined by 24-year-old Wayne O'Sullivan, formerly of Stevenage Borough, who would fill a void on the wing.

"It was much better - we created a few chances and should've won by a few more," the former Hitchin boss said about Tuesday's display.

"There is still a way to go. We are not firing on all cylinders yet. We are getting there it's just taking a little longer than I would have hoped."

Payne is also in the frame to sign winger Jamie Eames.

The former red could re-sign should a trial with League Two side Barnet not work out.

The Tudors host a QPR XI in their fifth pre-season match this Saturday.
