The Little Hay ladies march on in the Pearsons Trophy

It was a good week for the Little Hay ladies' team as they topped a tough league to progress to the last eight of the Pearsons Trophy '“ a competition open to ladies' teams from all golf clubs across Hertfordshire.

To qualify, the seven-strong team won six of their eight matches against teams from Verulam, West Herts, Bushey Golf & Country Club and Dyrham Park. In the quarter-

finals they will compete home

and away against Harpenden Golf Club.

Meanwhile, the ladies also played a friendly match at home to Rickmansworth which ended in a 2-2 draw.

Earlier in the week, the Ladies’ Spring Bouquet was won by Leslie O’Brien with 41 points. Jacky Joslyn was second with 37 points and Suzanne Brady was third with 35 points.

On Thursday, the Seniors’ April Stableford Division One was won by Tim Farrow with 37 points. In second place was Chris Jarman with 35 points, on countback from Bill Howells.

The Second Division was won by Patrick McInerney with 36 points. In second place was John Murphy with 35 points, and seniors’ vice-captain Mike Mason was third with 33 points.

On Sunday the Little Hay B team beat Ruislip 4-1 away.
