Ladies do battle for medals at Little Hay

The Little Hay ladies were busy last week with their two November Medal competitions.

The Saturday Medal was won by Tracey Franklin with an excellent 7-under-par score of 66. Second was Karen Burrows on 70 and in third place was Hee Young Crowhurst with 73.

The Monday Medal, meanwhile, was won by Chris Marsden with a 9-under-par score of 64. Second was Elaine Meagher with 68 and third was Alison Sexton with 69.

In other action at the club, 25 pairs of golfers teed off for the first round of the Winter League.

Leaders after one round are Rolf Stammeijer and Clare Stammeijer with 49 Stableford points.

Second are Chris Woodcock and John Leahy, and tied for third are Mick Whelan and Gary Whelan, Andy Sexton and Chris Dorsett and Hee-Young and Steve Crowhurst.
