The shock of the day in the West Herts League was inflicted on Division One leaders Gadebridge FC as they went down 2-1 at home to bottom club Sun Postal, despite a goal from ever-reliable Lewis Crowys.

In the same division, goals from Dave Flack and Neal Perrin were not enough as Hemel Rovers Reserves lost out 3-2 at Abbotts Langley.

Premier Division action, meanwhile, saw Kings Sports and Tring Athletic A battle it out in a 3-3 draw.

Dean Porter bagged a brace for Kings, with John Tyrell also finding the net, while Glen Sizer, Sam Handley and Patrick Rushton made sure Tring got a share of the spoils.

Elsewhere, Hemel Rovers were clearly second best against a very good Badger FC outfit, with a 3-0 scoreline showing the gap in class between the sides.

Hemel Rovers A managed a 4-2 victory at Croxley Comm as Matt Lennon, Matt Durrant, Aaron Boyer and an own goal did the job.

It was not so good for the Tring Athletic B team, however, as they were beaten 6-2 at home by table-topping Vicarage Celtic.

Gadebridge Reserves also missed out on the points after a 5-4 defeat at Langleybury CC, but Potten End came up trumps with a 4-3 win over Oxhey Reserves. Dale Jenkins scored twice for Potten End, with Rob Hopkins adding another and Ben Beer grabbing the winner
