Lev Green Ladies breeze past Stevenage

LADIES FOOTBALL: Leverstock Green Ladies recorded an impressive 4-0 win over Stevenage Borough in the County Cup.

Stevenage had knocked Green out of the same competition last season and looked the likeliest team to score early on.

And after Green midfielder Rebecca Fearns was forced to go in goal following an injury to goalkeeper H Orsman, Stevenage looked the only possible winners.

Green, though, had other ideas and dominated the second half. Giselle Subryan made the breakthrough for Leverstock to hand the away side the lead, and they grew in strength from there.

A brace from Kerry Albury and a Kelly Randall strike put the result beyond doubt and secured Green’s place in the next round of the competition.
