Long Marston 5
 Aston Clinton 1

Sean Lane set the tone for an inspired Long Marston win against local rivals Aston Clinton, as he scored a header from a Gary Collins free-kick in just the second minute.

Dean Roper doubled the lead with another header after 25 minutes as Long Marston dominated the half – with last season’s top goalscorer Jamie Brewster putting in an excellent display on his return from injury.

The second half was one way traffic as chance after chance went begging for Marston, before Paul Lelliott smashed in from 25 yards.

That was quickly added to with a poacher’s goal from Marcus Tower, before Dean Roper fired home Marston’s fifth and his second with 10 minutes remaining.

Aston Clinton scored a consolation penalty with the last kick of the game.
