Junior players in cup spirit

Hemel Town Youth Red U10s booked their place in the Junior League Cup semi-finals with a 6-1 victory.

The side beat Harpenden Colts 6-1, despite going behind.

They trailed by a goal for a matter of minutes before captain Eddie Khan equalised for Red.

Then second-half goals wrapped up victory.

First, Andrew Nolan bundled home a goal before Mason Davis made it three with a chip.

Khan made it four and then defender Sam White drilled in to make it 5-1.

Jack Eustace scored 10 minutes from time to cap victory.

Adam Hobbs, Josh Horwood, substitute Ted Green and goalkeeper Adam Seremba put in sterling performances while Khan was Man Of The Match.

Hemel Aces Black U10s played their part in a cup classic, coming back from two goals down before losing on penalties against Herons U10s.

The side looked to be going out of the cup when they found themselves 2-0 down, but goals from Daniel Miles and Man Of The Match Callum Elmer helped level the tie at 3-3.

The side were the unlucky losers, 4-3 on penalties.

Meanwhile, Hemel Stags Aces Wasps U11s lost 5-1 home to Watford Town, despite Bestone Motabile's postbound effort and Edward Langley's saved bullet header.

Louis Smith drilled in their goal.

Berkhamsted Raiders Red U12s and Leverstock Green U12s played each other twice in the West Herts League.

Levy snatched a last-gasp 2-1 win after Jack Hudson had equalised for Raiders.

Raiders won the second match 4-1, with a Hudson goal, a George Darby Brace and Matty Lee was on the scoresheet on his birthday.

Chipperfield Corinthians U12s were another side to go out of the cup, losing 3-2 at home to Bovingdon in the League Cup quarter-finals.

With goalmouth scrambles at each end, the game was close.

Danny Roberts' strike hit the bar and Christian Panayi scored, but Bovingdon equalised before Man Of The Match Tom Longbottom restored the lead.

But Bovingdon went on to win 3-2.

In the U18s Watford Friendly League, Echoes Orange won 4-3 on penalties over Alexandra Park East following a 1-1 draw.

Ollie Gurney scored a lob after he was set up by Harry Watts and Tom Smith.

Elsewhere, goals from Calum Clarke, Man Of The Match Jack Guiton and Callum Mansell gave Hemel Panthers a 3-1 win away to Chorleywood Tigers to secure a top-of-the-table place.
