Former Hemel Hempstead Town FC striker Lewis Toomey has continued his climb up the divisions by signing for Blue Square Bet South side Boreham Wood.

Toomey, 21, joined Hemel from Molten Spartan South Midlands League Division One outfit Kings Langley at the start of the 2010/2011 season .

The striker left Vauxhall Road before signing for Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division rivals St Albans City at the start of this season.

With the Saints, Toomey scored 12 goals in 21 appearances – his most recent effort coming against Chesham United on New Year’s Day.
