They took the Houghton Regis Cup for the best performance by an SSMFL club in FA competitions, winning six matches in their FA Vase run before going out in the last 16 to eventual winners Morpeth Town.

The League Match Officials Association gave two Premier Division awards to Berko – for Sportsmanship and also Best Hospitality, for which the volunteer catering ladies received a special mention in the presentation speech.

The club also received a cheque for good administration, as they did the previous season, which is mostly down to secretary Keith Hicks’ hard work.

The changes to the Premier Division constitution saw Leighton Town coming down to replace promoted AFC Dunstable, with Crawley Green and Edgware Town promoted from Division One. They replace relegated Harefield United and Bedford.

After the meeting the league cup draws were made.

Last season Berko were Challenge Trophy runners-up and this season will start at Division One side Wodson Park and if successful have a home tie with either FC Broxbourne Borough or Colney Heath.

Berko got a first round bye in the Premier Division Cup and in the second round will be at home to St Margaretsbury.
