Smith won the toss and inserted the hosts on another sticky surface. Dight (6-6 off 7) and Klosterman (3-31 off 11) were the stand-out performers with the ball.

An efficient effort in the field limited Hatfield Hyde to 56 for their 10 wickets. Berkhamsted chased the total without any major issues - Oneill (31*) and Foster (12*) carefully guided the ship to port.

A promising eight wicket victory before the local derby with Northchurch next Saturday.

Berkhamsted II put together a convincing performance against Reed III, a 107-run win taking them top of the table.

Berkhamsted posted 245-8 dec in 35 overs with Debonnaire (49), Preedy (51) and Hopcroft (58) all making significant contributions with healthly strike rates. With the ball, Wright (4/20 off 11) excelled in removing the lower order to prevent any late partnerships with Reed’s number 4, Bowles (40*).

With a day of threatened showers and thunderstorms, Berkhamsted III inserted Northwood III in the hope of a quick dismissal and chase. The pitch was still damp from late week rain and the accurate start from Hunter.J (4-21 off 11) and Richardson (2-23 off 12) made runs difficult to come by. The pressure was continued and wickets started to go. Keogh (2-12 off 7) and Hunter.H (2-23 off 5) swapped on and continued the good bowling. In the end, the bowling was too good, the fielding tight and Northwood Town were out for 89.

Williams was sent out for a positive start and delivered with his 33 coming off just 6 overs. Lake M (25*) and Lake D (19) then continued with a good partnership that killed the target off, 90 chased down with seven wickets in hand in 20.2 overs.

Berkhamsted IV produced a ruthless performance against their Boxmoor counterparts, winning by nine wickets. Rochat-Greene (4-22 off 6) and Klosterman (4-11 off 5) proved too good for the hosts’ batsmen. Boxmoor were limited to 62 for their 10 wickets. In reply, Chrispin Snr (42*) and Chrispin Jnr (15*) chased the total with another impressive father-son partnership to get Berkhamsted to victory in 16 overs.
