Club celebrates charter award
Leverstock Green FC are celebrating gaining an FA Community Charter award.
The club staged an under 13 tournament on Sunday at their recently refurbished ground on Pancake Lane.
Five teams played in the competition, with current county cup holders sun postal narrowly overcoming the hosts in the final, beating them 1-0.
Over 150 people turned out to take part and watch the drama unfold.
Levy green under 13 manager Joe Sweeney said: "It was a fantastic day enjoyed by everyone, especially the boys.
"The day was really to highlight the continued improvement of Leverstock Green as a club for all age groups in the area."
The club currently offers football to youngsters of all abilities from under eight level right up to under 18s.
All coaches and managers have FA qualifications and hold first aid and CRB certificates.
