Chairman on finances, retro kit and Premiership visit

The finances of now ex-Hemel Town chairman Dave Boggins will keep the club going until the end of the season.

New chairman Chris Brooks revealed Boggins' money will help pay for things like wages and rent, but come next season the club will depend on the construction of the two planned astro turf pitches at their Vauxhall Road home.

"These financial commitments stand until the end of the season, and we will look at what to do next then" said Brooks, whose position will be reviewed at the club's AGM in the summer.

He also revealed that Hemel, who celebrate their 125th anniversary next year, will wear a kit modelled on one of the club's first strips, next season.

They are also looking to bring a Premiership side to Vauxhall Road to play an exhibition match.
