Cementaprise crash as Sunday League returns

For the first time in months, an almost full programme of Sunday League fixtures took place across Dacorum.

Cementaprise crashed out of the Herts Intermediate Cup to Cheshunt Corinthians, who beat them 2-1. Keith Lowe got the consolation.

Rather unusually, there were no giant-killings in the Steve Norwood Challenge Cup.

Ashlyns United saw off Gossoms End (Grant Sanders (2), Gary Woolfe) 3-2 thanks to Dean Gavin's hat-trick and David Wilkinson's brace.

Comets Sports Club came away from Greenacres II with an 8-0 win - Lee Clarke, Aaron Lewis and Alfie Mullan all getting doubles - and AFC Boars beat Hemel Town Celtic 2-1.

Leverstock Green Centurians were the 3-0 victors at Herald United, John Larter grabbed two as Park Rangers saw off The Old Bell 4-1 and Carl Dell and Ian Ryder managed the same feat for Wigginton and DPFC respectively in Wigginton's 5-3 win.

It took extra time to decide Draeger Medical's League Intermediate Cup 2nd round tie with Studham Social.

With the scores standing at 3-3 after 90 minutes, Draeger scored two in extra time to win it.

There were five different scorers as Warners End romped to a 5-1 win over Litten Tree - Peter Storey, Steve Kilner, Leo Mullett, Ned Ozkasim and an own goal helping them to the win.

In the Premier Division of the Arlon Printers West Herts League, the high-flying AC Daniels (Matt Myatt) could only manage a draw with Old Grey Mare (Simon Kibble), while Berkhamsted Tornadoes won their game with Hemel Rovers Sunday 5-4.

Goals from Tom Porter, Lee Thorne and Dean Roper were not enough as Jimmy Milton (2), Andy Wheeler-King and Stewart King sealed the win for Tornadoes.

Division One, and Eddie Lawrence bagged five as Green Dragon Flaunden thrashed rock-bottom AC Hemel 9-1, while Berkhamsted Raiders saw off The Swan 2-1.

Mark Leslie was on target three times for Sarratt DA as they beat Tring Royals 4-0, while the game between Landrovers and The Albion was called off.

Karl Davidson found the back of the net twice for Berkhamsted Rangers (also David Bayliss, Karl Thomas, Daley Thomas, Peter Austin) as they trounced BSI FC (Gary Collins, Neil Harper) 6-2 in Division Two.

Landrovers were 1-0 winners at Bennetts Hemel while Buncefield and The George shared the spoils in a thrilling 5-5 draw, Aaron Luke and Luke Hughes bagging braces for Buncefield and The George respectively.

There was another 6-2 scoreline in Division Three as Comets Sports Club Reserves (Lorcan Alainia, Chris Clemo, James Dorer, Scott Vaughan, Callum Julien, Dan Holliman) leapfrogged opponents Green Park Rovers (Steve Hollick, Neil Trundell).

Kings Langley CC AMS, meanwhile, stuffed The Bull 5-1, Ricky Maguire got two as Castlemead beat Queens Head 2-1 and Shaka were 5-0 winners in their game with Wigginton Reserves.

Glen Lodge celebrated his birthday in style, scoring both of AMG United's goals in their 2-1 defeat of Leverstock Green Centurians Reserves (Warren Davies), while Justin Seymore found the target four times as AC Grapes crushed Anchor Tring.

Bennetts End Athletic lost 2-0 at home to Palace, Haven beat Inter Hemel Sunday 2-1 and The Midland, came back impressively from 4-2 down at half time to emerge 6-4 winners over Berkhamsted Tornadoes Reserves.
