Canoe believe it!? Crew wins world's longest race
A pair of paddlers came first in the longest non-stop canoe race in the world.
Tom Fryer and Gary Watts - representing Hemel Hempstead Canoe Club - won the Open Canadian Canoe Class at the 125-mile Devizes to Westminster International Canoe Race.
Also members of Tring Rafting Club, they came 11th overall from almost 150 starting crews in 19 hours and 50 minutes - more than an hour ahead of their closest competitors. More than 40 teams retired due to injury or exhaustion.
Also making waves were Craig Miller and Steve Woollett, who finished in 28th in the Senior Men's Kayak class and 63rd overall in a time of just over 24 hours.
Run on Easter Weekend since 1948, the race kicked off in Wiltshire, with crews taking on the Kennet and Avon Canal before joining the Thames at Reading and heading down into the capital.
