Camelot Knights enjoy a successful crusade

editorial image

Hemel Camelot U7s retained the Saracens Cup as they saw off some of the strongest clubs in the home counties.

The Saracens-run event has become one of the highlights of the junior rugby season, and the Camelot Knights put in a top display to take the crown.

After successfully navigating their way through the preliminary stages of the competition, the Knights met Barnet in the semi-finals and dug deep to secure a 6-4 win.

That set up a clash with Old Albanians in the final, and the Camelot side delivered a superb performance to run out 8-4 winners.

Their passing and handling was matched by their defence and support work, and the youngsters deservedly rook the trophy back to Chaulden Lane.

The club is always looking to attract new players, and urges people of all ages to go along and give rugby a try.
