Double dose of derby delight for Gadebridge

editorial image

It was a good night for Gadebridge Badminton Club as they bagged two wins over Hemel rivals Lockers Park on Friday.

The medley and mixed 1 teams were both in action, and each match ended in a 6-3 victory for Gadebridge.

The Gadebridge medley team have had a slow start to the season, but Wendy Gillingham, Ruth Senna, Sandra Mellish, Graham Mellish, Tom Hall and Gary Watkinson put in a solid display to ensure they came away with the win.

Not to be outdone, the mixed 1 team – Liz Bateman, Grant Hall, Carol Johnston, James Hor, Lesley Godfrey and Richard Billing – also played well to make it two wins on the night for Gadebridge.
