Thames proves no barrier for Susie in Bridge to Bridge swim

Gade Valley Tri triathlete Susie Ivin sharpened her swimming skills on Sunday when she completed the Bridge to Bridge swim along the River Thames.

Starting in Henley-on-Thames and finishing in Higgison Park in Marlow, Ivin completed the 14K swim in 4:47:40.

At the parkruns this week GVH fielded 17 runners at six of the timed 5K runs.

Gadebridge Park saw eight Harriers in attendance with Anthony Willcox first home for the team in 22:07, followed by Simon Wallis 22:11, Tracey Cotton 23:33, Rupert Mainwaring 25:25, Russ Bailey 26:06, Paul Buxton 26:23, Angeline Cottrill 29:11 and Paul Reilly 30:24.

Watford’s Cassiobury Park parkrun had four Harriers in club colours where Steve Newing clocked a time of 19:53, with team mates Gemma Bitaraf posting 20:47, Paul Rumble 29:49 and Georgia Thomas 34:10 (PB).

Black Park had father and son team Guy and Max Woollett competing, Guy clocking 19:26 and Max posting 26:15.

Heading south to Poole, Dorset, Phil Mercer clocked a time of 27:51, whilst in Upton Court James Thomson crossed the line in 20:44 and in Delamere, Cheshire, Mark Crabtree pushed hard to claim third overall place in a speedy 18:58.
