Aquatic ace bags the top diving grade

DIVING: A member of Dacorum Sub Aqua Club is celebrating after achieving the highest grade possible in the British Sub Aqua Club.

Clive Puddifoot passed his exam to become a national instructor – one of only three candidates to do so this year.

The National Instructor Exam assesses candidates’ instructional skills over four days and 23 separate component elements.

In order to enter for the exam, candidates must be an advanced instructor and first class diver – making Puddifoot’s achievement all the more impressive.

The club, meanwhile is holding a Try Dive session on Thursday, September 15 to give people a taste of the sport.
