Berkhamsted Tennis and Squash Club has had a week to remember.
On Tuesday September 23 the squash section of Berkhamsted Lawn Tennis and Squash Rackets Club was presented with not only the Herts Club Championship Trophy, but also the Wilkinson Sword of Honour as it was named Herts Club of the Year.

Club capt
ain Keith Farnham, who was presented with the Wilkinson Sword, said: "I am delighted that the hard work, dedication and enthusiasm of our team players, our committee and all our members has been rewarded in this way.

"I am very proud of them all."

And If that was not enough, 1st team Captain Shorts Rickard was named Herts County Player of the Year.

"This has been a fantastic seven days for our club," chairman Simon Andrews added.

"We are now recognised as one of the leading squash clubs in the South East of England. We field first class teams, we have a fantastic club spirit and our coach, Archie, is one of the best around.

"All in all this augurs very well for the next year as we look to develop our club and build upon the success that we have enjoyed."

The club capped a memorable week with their open day last Sunday.

They showed off their state-of-the-art tennis and squash facilities to current and potential members, and treated them to a free bouncy castle and barbeque.

The weekend also saw the club's Parent Child Tournament, where 26 pairs played it out to win a host of prizes.
