A bracee from Ty North and a strike from Andy Humphreys helped Tring to their first league win this season.

With boss Phil Casserley ringing in the changes, Tring went ahead six minutes in against Welwyn Garden City when North slotted home after a good David Whicker long ball.

Whicker then set up Humphreys to double the lead ten minutes later, his strike flying in off the underside of the bar.

North added his second and Tring's third shortly before half time when he capitalised on a defensive error.

City captain Matt Turnbull blindly played the ball across his own penalty area straight to the waiting midfielder who gratefully tucked the ball home.

Tring entertain Biggleswade United in the FA Cup preliminary round this Saturday, strengthened by the return of Andy Mullins.
