An ecstatic Comets side claimed a memorable Steve Norwood Challenge Cup win in the final on Sunday, as they came from behind to storm to victory against Premier Division side Boars Head.
Scott Walters put Boars Head one up, and it stayed that way until 70 minutes in, when Aaron Lewis calmly slid the ball home after being put through on goal.
It looked as if extra time was on the cards, but it was Chris Marsh who won the game for Comets.
Following a foul on Alex McCarthy, he stepped up to curl the ball over the wall and into the top corner from 25 yards to win the cup for his side.
Elsewhere, in the Premier League a closely fought match between Gossoms End and Hemel Rovers Sunday ended in a 5-4 win for Sunday, and a superb Robbie Button quadruple helped Ashlyns United to a thrilling 6-4 win over Greenacres Two.
In Division One Cementaprise beat Old Grey Mare with help from a Keith Lowe hat-trick. Mare's Luke Young also racked up three goals, but they weren't enough to give his side the victory.
Hat-tricks seemed to be the order of the day in Division One as Glen Walsh and Neil Harper each grabbed one in Nash Partnership's 7-2 thrashing of Queens Head Hemel and Landrovers' Jason Ivory's bagged a treble in their 6-2 win over Tring Royals.
Sarratt DA's 5-2 victory at Landrovers Reserves and Briery's 2-0 loss to Arlon means the title will be Sarratt's if they win their last two games.
Meanwhile hat-tricks from Tony Jones and Matt Honey were instrumental in giving Litten Tree an 8-4 victory over Gaddesden Row.
Wiggington clinched the Division Three title in midweek, and the pressure was definitely off as they thrashed Shaka 12-0.
Despite Steve Smith's and Trevor Gibbs' trebles lighting up the game, Wiggington keeper Mark King's clearance was the pick of the bunch as it evaded everybody to end up nestling in the back of the Shaka net.
During AC Grapes' 10-2 drubbing of Apsley Village Paul Heath and Mark Hunter saw their names on the scoresheet a total of seven times, and Joel Phillips bagged a brace for Bennetts Hemel against Old Kings Arms.
Elsewhere in the league another treble, this time from Kieran Taylor, was a mere consolation for Queens Head Hemel Reserves as they went down 6-3 to Warners End.
Warners End Reserves were already champions of Division Four by the time Sunday's games were played, and they made short work of Inter Hemel Sunday beating them 4-0, thanks in no small part to three goals from Drew Duggan.
The game between Comets Sports Club Reserves and Draeger Medical was postponed, but the latter have a chance to steal second spot in the league after Green Park Rovers were beaten 4-3 at home by AMG United.
A good away win was also notched up by Midland Hotel, who were helped by Rocco Cordara's three strikes to beat AC Grapes Reserves 4-3.
