A team made up of youngsters from around Dacorum has put the borough on the map by winning the Herts League Cup.
The Under 11 Dacorum Schools District side stormed to victory over Chiltern and South Bucks last Saturday (May 10), running out 4-0 winners to clinch the cup.

Team Manager Peter Brathwaite said: "To beat Chiltern and South Bucks in the final was an excellent achievement.

"This is my seventh season in charge of the team and this has been the most successful year yet."

The Dacorum side took part in a league with the top four sides going through to a play-off-style knock competition. Dacourm finished third in the league and won their semi final to earn their place in the cup final.

Goals on the day came from Obi Okereke and a Jacque Freeman penalty,
and joint top-scorers Conor Masterson and Casey Linsell both scored to take their tallies to 10 goals each for the season.

Trials for next year's squad are to be held in June, with boys who are in Year Five now having to be recommended either by their school or Sunday club by Saturday May 24.
