GARY Phillips hopes to strengthen the spine of his side.

Last week the Hemel Town boss showed Yiadom Yeboah and Adam Bernard the door but brought in Barnet youngster Danny Hart on a month's loan.

And, he revealed, he hopes it is the first of many as the Tudors look to steer themselves away from the relegation zone.

He said: "I'm still looking for a central midfielder and I have a player coming down on Wednesday, a centre back, who I will have a look at".

"Then I'm looking for a big target man."

His second-from-bottom side entertain a team just above them this weekend - Clevedon Town, who they outclassed but lost to earlier this season.

Phillips, who is itching for revenge over the Somerset club, labelled it a must-win game.

Their fixture at Stourbridge on Saturday was postponed.

To see how they get on this weekend see www.hemeltoday.co.uk and a full report and reaction in next week's Gazette.

For more details on who Phillips is hoping to bring in to the squad at Vauxhall Road, see this week's edition of The Gazette.
