Swimmers at Berkhamsted Barracudas were treated to a visit from Olympian Andrew Hunter last Wednesday.
The 22-year-old was part of the British 4x200 freestyle relay team who set a new British record in the event only a fortnight ago in Beijing, coming sixth overall.

"Andrew is a great ambassador for swimming," said head coach Michelle Hewson.

"I found it truly amazing for a young man barely back in the country and having so many people to see and catch up with to put aside the time to visit the youngster first.

"Just Andrew's presence is always more than enough for our little club, as he has been back every year with various medals from Commonwealth Games and World Championships, which is such an inspiration to our youngsters."

Andrew, whose family still live in Potten End, started his swimming career at the club back in 1994. He has since moved to Stirling in Scotland where he is taking a degree in Accountancy and Business Studies.

He had been back in the country barely 24 hours before paying a visit to his old club.
