Lilywhites lacking finishing touch

For once it was Berkhamsted's finishing touch that let them down on Tuesday.
The Lilywhites took on Biggleswade United, who were on a high from winning at Tring in the FA Cup on Saturday.
But despite outplaying the visitors for the majority of the 90 minutes Berko didn't take their chances when they came and ended up losing 3-1.
"I thought we played really well to be honest," said joint boss Ian Richardson. "In the second half we battered them.
"We played some great football and created a lot of chances but we just didn't take them."
In an end-to-end first half Ben Butler, Ashley Addison and Wayne Barber all spurned chances to fire Berko in front.
Biggleswade's Daniel Gaskin finally broke the deadlock with his curling lob 10 minutes before the interval.
Gareth Aldridge, Tony Fields, Addison and Alex McCarthy all fired off-target as the second half ticked by.
The Lilywhites twice thought they had scored but both times the linesman's flag went up, much to the disappointment of the Broadwater crowd.
In line with current form a defensive slip-up gave the visitors and unlikely second when Gaskin capitalised on a mistake by Daren Till to double his tally for the day.
Berko got back into the game through their skipper Tony Fields who headed his eighth of the season from a Butler free kick.
But just when it looked like the home side would get what they deserved from the game up popped United's Sean Murray to restore their two goal lead with virtually his first touch.
Still Berko battled, but with Addison's shot coming back off the woodwork and Aldridge and Matt Gunary both missing good chances, they knew it just wasn't going to be their day.
"The goals will come," said Richardson afterwards."We have scored 20-odd goals but have conceded about 18! That's where our problem is really.
"We really need to tighten up at the back - we might be able to get another player for Saturday to strengthen the defence."
Saturday is likely to pose problems for Berko as they travel to high-flying Aylesbury Vale.
"That will be a tough one," Richardson admitted. "But we will be up for it.
"I'm sure we will create chances, we just need to keep them out the other end."
