Barring a miracle Leverstock Green will be named champions of Division Two of the Saracens Hertfordshire Cricket League next week.

Green recorded a three wicket win over Old Albanian on Saturday to cement top spot with only a game to go.

They are 22 points of nearest rivals Chorleywood, having lost just three of their 18 games so far this season.

In Division One of the Home Counties Premier League, Tring kept their hopes alive of winning the division by notching an exciting 20 run win over Slough.

Matthew Bowyer provided the backbone of the innings scoring a magnificent century, and was assisted by the dependable Keith Dutch, who chipped in with 48.

Though Slough batted admirably, they were undone by Richard Byrne who took the last wicket in the last over of the game. Tring now sit six points behind league-leaders High Wycombe and one point behind second-placed Banbury.

They entertain relegation-threatened Reading in their final game this weekend.

In Division Two East of the HCPL Hemel Hempstead were thrashed by Harpenden by eight wickets.

Matt Potton was Hemel's top scorer with the bat with 43 runs, but Harpenden had no problem overcoming their total of 142 when they went in to bat.

Langleybury also found themselves easily beaten by fellow strugglers Hertford, and are now facing relegation.

They now sit six points behind Hemel and nine behind Hertford after their eight wicket loss.

Back in the Saracens Hertfordshire Cricket League, Berkhamsted's poor run of form continued with a 23 run loss against Knebworth Park.

Berko now sit in sixth place, just two points ahead of Totteridge Millhillians.
While Leverstock Green head up Division Two, Abbots Langley have that sinking feeling after yet another loss, this time to Luton Town and Indians. They were thrashed by eight wickets.

Northchurch, meanwhile, also lost - Old Finchleians making short work of their opponents leaving them in 10th place.

Kings Langley are in a promotion place after their win over Waltham X Rosedale in Division Three. There are three teams chasing them for the spot, all with just three points fewer than Langley.

Hemel Hempstead II lost their last six wickets for just 21 runs as they went down to Broxbourne, with young Jay O'Nien top-scorer for Hemel with 44.

Champions of Division Four Redbourn beat second placed Clarendon by 38 runs, leaving Clarendon four points ahead of third-placed County Hall.
Chipperfield, meanwhile, crashed and burned against Hatfield Hyde - all out for just 52 runs.

Langleybury II sit 10 points ahead of Berkhamsted II in Division Five after both teams lost their weekend matches.

Langleybury remain in a promotion place while Berko are four points off of fourth spot.

Levy Green II lost to Old Albanian II leaving them second bottom, while Northchurch II beat Chorleywood II by four wickets to pull themselves clear of the relegation zone.

In Division Six Hemel Hempstead condemned Boxmoor to possible relegation with a convincing five wicket win, Ian Potton hitting 48 for Hemel.

Abbots Langley will join Hemel by finishing mid-table after they beat Hatch End.

Division Seven saw Kings Langley lose again though they are now clear of the drop zone. Redbourn II also lost in their tight game with Old Cholmeleians, while Flamstead were worthy winners against Hoddesdon III.

Relegation or promotion are no longer possible for any of the Dacorum sides in Division Eight. Clarendon II and Chipperfield II both lost in their respective matches, while Hemel Hempstead IV's Jack Doodson was the star as he hit 85 not out en route to them beating Totteridge Millhillians IV.

Langleybury III smashed Weston dismissing them for just 81 runs, leaving Langleybury well clear of the chasing pack at the table's summit.
Leverstock Green III are almost certain of a place in Division Nine next year after they saw off Clifton II in Division 10.

Chorleywood III smashed Kings Langley, who remain second bottom but well clear of Cheshunt II, while Boxmoor II drew with Old Elizabethans II, the game called off when Boxmoor were just ten runs shy of their opponents' score.

Abbots Langley managed just 139 runs after their allotted overs - a total easily surpassed by Harpenden Dolphins.

Division 11 champions Great Gaddesden lost only two wickets on their way to beating Hertford IV, whilst in Division 12 Berkhamsted's total of 89 was cleared by Hitchin III for the loss of six wickets.

Berko remain hopeful of promotion from Division 12 after Leverstock Green IV saw off Stevenage IV, who sit in fifth.

Monken Hadley conceded their game to Hemel Hempstead V, while Flamstead and Met Police Bushey III drew.

Division 13 champions Redbourn III were again on form, bowling out Baldock III for 90 runs.
