Top eventer Georgie Davies from Hemel Hempstead has impressed at one of the top equestrian events in world.
She took part in the prestigious Badminton Horse Trials last week for the first time, and finished an impressive 10th out of 80 competitors.
The 25-year-old, of Gaddesden Row, was understandably chuffed with her performance, especially as she was up against some tough competition, which included Pippa Funnell and Zara Phillips.
Georgie, who is currently listed as a reserve for this year's Olympic squad, said: "I'm really pleased. It's probably the most prestigious event in this sport in the world.
"To come 10th at that level when you are up against the best riders in the world is not bad at all.
"There were all the top names in the sport there and they have been doing it for about 20 years longer than I have been!"
Georgie, with her horse Fachoudette, took part in two days of dressage over Thursday and Friday, then a cross country competition on Saturday and finished with showjumping on Sunday.
Her success was in no small part due to an incredible time in her cross country run, which temporarily propelled her up to fifth position.
She added: "I was one of only two to jump the cross country in the allowed time on that day so I was very pleased."
For her impressive final position she was presented with £8000, and also received the Laurence Rook Trophy which is given to the highest-placed first time British rider.
