The finalists for the Gazette Cup were decided last week, with Leverstock Green and Langleybury progressing through to next Friday's final.
Leverstock Green overcame Northchurch thanks to some good batting from their number six Brad Hughes and number seven Charlie Mahanam.

Northchurch couldn't manage the 134 runs needed to win, due largely to some accurate bowling from Adam Thomas wh
o took 3-20.

Final opponents Langleybury did well to beat a slightly weakened Tring Park team, setting the HCPL Division One side a total of 129-7, Shahzad Malik scoring 44 with the bat. Tring could only manage 108 in reply, with Matt Lansley dismissing four batsmen for a total of 18 runs.

Tring Park, however, remain top of Division One of the Home Counties Premier League despite dropping points against Welwyn Garden City. They could only manage 149-9 as they tried to match Welwyn's 186 runs. The result leaves the league-leaders 15 points clear of chasing Oxford.

In Division Two East of the HCPL, Hemel Hempstead Town showed good resolve to draw with West Herts after Herts' star batsman Neal Parlane scored 175. Matt Potton hit 50 as Brett Penny scored 49 to bat out the game for a draw.

Malik was again deadly at the crease for Langleybury, hitting 110 not out in their win against Sawbridgeworth.

In Division One of the Saracens Hertfordshire Cricket League, Berkhamsted remain mid-table after drawing with Letchworth, while in Division Two Leverstock Green continue to dominate, their latest result a six wicket win against Preston.

Abbots Langley continue to prop up the other end of the league after losing to Northwood Town, as Northchurch bounced back from their Gazette Cup defeat to hit 229-3 against Rickmansworth.

Hemel Hempstead II's rollercoaster season took another turn as they were thrashed at home by Bishop's Stortford II in Division Three, while Kings Langley leapfrogged their rivals as they racked up 259-6 against Sawbridgeworth II.

Some excellent bowling from Jon Fleming ensured Redbourn remain top of Division Four. Captain Dan Roe afterwards commented that he was the key to their win against fellow promotion-chasers Hertingfordbury.

Clarendon beat Harpenden III to keep the pressure up on Redbourn and Chipperfield put in a fantastic performance against Botany Bay, hitting 165 without loss.

Dave Sherjan scored 54 as Berkhamsted II beat Old Elizabethans in Division Five and Northchurch II were trounced by Old Albanian II.

Struggling Leverstock Green II notched up an important one-wicket win against Bayford and Hertford while Langleybury II came away the victors from Luton Town and Indians II.

Hemel Hempstead III were just two runs short of Hatfield Crusaders' total in their Division Six game. Boxmoor sit a point above their rivals close to the foot of the table after being beaten by Met Police Bushey, while Abbots Langley did no better at Hitchin II.

Hexton took Flamstead apart in their game in Division Seven, while Kings Langley II and Redbourn II made it a clean sweep of losses, after they went down to St Albans III and Old Finchleians II respectively.

In Division Eight Clarendon II stay just ahead of rivals Chipperfield after beating Cheshunt by 28 runs, with Clarendon II losing to Elstree despite hitting 237 runs for only four wickets.

Hemel Hempstead IV were closing in on Shenley Village's total, but lost when their final batsman's knee gave way and he collapsed onto the stumps.

Langleybury III continue to dominate Division Nine, as the league-leaders bowled Sandridge II out for only 97 runs, while Leverstock Green III are top of Division 10 after Old Haberdashers II conceded their game.

Abbots Langley are stuck in mid-table despite a good score against Shenley Village III, whilst Kings Langley III and Boxmoor continue to struggle after losses to Letchworth IV and St Albans IV respectively.

Great Gaddesden are cruising through Division 11, their latest win coming against Waltham X Rosedale III. Berkhamsted III's game with Potter Bar V was cancelled, as Old Owens conceded to Hemel Hempstead V and Leverstock Green IV beat North Mymms IV.

One of the results of the day came for Flamstead II, who hit a massive 275-2 in their win against Hitchin III.

Redbourn III are 51 points clear at the top of Division 13 after their victory at old Elizabethans III while Kings Langley IV face a real uphill struggle in Division 14, as they lost again, this time to Hatfield Crusaders III.

Elsewhere Berkhamsted IV beat Botany Bay IV after bowling them out for only 30 runs, and Abbots Langley IV could only manage 77 runs against Chorleywood IV.
