Promotion four years on the trot may seem like an impossible task to most footballers.
But Hemel Hempstead under 15s has achieved the unthinkable, under the guidance of former Hemel player Steve Hoaw.
Steve, who guided his team to victory over London Road on Sunday to secure the league title said: "I couldn't be more proud of my players.
"Every team we play has got some better players than we have, but we beat them. That tells you what they are like—they never give up until the final whistle."
The league win caps an incredible four promotions in four years for the boys, who have been under the tuteladge of Steve since they were 11 years old.
They finished top of the Watford Friendly League Division One, only conceding 16 goals in the process, which is the best defensive record out of any team in all nine Watford leagues.
Graham, who once swore to himself he would never get involved with kids' football, added: "We only ever add maybe one player a year, and the lads have just continued to improve.
"As far as I know we are the first team to go up four years on the trot in the Watford Friendly Leagues" Steve added.
"The support of the mums and dads, the coach Graham Hatch and the club secretary Sue Newbegin has been so important. So has the support of our sponsors Cementaprise, who have helped us pay for all our training.
"Also Vince Ryan and Gary Murray, who both have given up their free time to help with training.
"My thanks goes out to all them."
Hemel beat London Road 3-1 to come top of the league—their first top-place finish of all their promotion winning seasons.
Captain Steve Hatch put Hemel ahead shortly after half time witth a 20 yard screamer, but were pegged back with an equaliser only two minutes later.
But the home side's determination paid off as starting strikers Josh Bryant and Matt Wigg finished the game off.
Bryant scrambled the ball home after a corner and Wigg put the icing on the cake with a header 10 minutes from time.
Steve said: "There was a lot of pressure on us and we handled it very well.
"It was a very special day for us."
