Doors edge towards title triumph
SWR DOORS took a massive step towards the lifting the Premier Dvision title.

Stuart Meaney got the only goal of the game as the league-leaders saw off long time favourites Martin Baker Rovers.

Tring Athletic A are just a point off the top having played four games more than Doors. They secured the points with a 7-2 win at Sun Postal Rovers.

Hemel Rovers Reserves scored three times to overcome Aldenham who had taken a 2-0 lead. Zeb Fraz pulled a goal back and Wasim Hussain added a leveller before a Paul Jones effort snatched the points for Rovers.

A George Loosely Jr goal was enough for Bovingdon to get a share of the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Harpenden Rovers A while SWR Doors Reserves grabbed a point at home to Martin Baker Reserves.

Joe Inman was on target in the 1-1 draw.

Division Two outfit Potten End suffered another heavy loss, this time going down 6-0 at Philipine Utd.

The result leaves them second from bottom.

There was 10-goal thriller between two Hemel sides in the quarter final of the Watford Peace Shield.

Wayne Hughes' brace and goals from John Gatenby and player/manager Duncan Cockling earned Inter an extra time chance, Paul Hanafan (2), Sean Lane and Michael Tearle scoring in normal time for Rovers.

Jake Seabourne made it advantage Rovers before centre back Ben Durrant's 30-yard goal of the season contender sealed a semi date with Hadley this weekend.
