Comets end Warners' cup hopes

Division Two leaders Warners End were humbled by Division Two team Comets Reserves.
Goals from Rob Holmes and Tom Murnaghan helped give them the win over the 'Enders (Tommy Venner) to seal their spot in the fourth round of the Steve Norwood Challenge Cup.

Joining them are The Swan (Richard Fell, Christian Hough (2), James Heward,
Steve Patterson) who came out on the right side of a 5-3 goalfest with Flaunden (Tom Shaw, Eddie Lawrence, Chris Truman) and Hemel Town Celtic.

Craig McMahon, Louis Miller and John Hussey all bagged braces in their 7-5 defeat of Bovingdon Rangers, Josh Bundey getting the other goal.

Dave Whicker hit a hat trick as AC Daniels (also Glenn Sizer (2), David Dixon) beat Herald United (Scott Dennis, Scott Carrington) 6-2; Ricky Charge, Harry Lee (2), Jeff Mensah (2) and Jay Austin notched as AFC Boars battered Bennetts Hemel 6-0 and Leverstock Green Centurians won 5-0 at Cementaprise.

Jed Juster, Paul Joyce, Andrew Tulloch and Graham Burne (2) were on the scoresheet.

Comets' first team's FA National Sunday Cup tie with Northampton Trotters was called off for the second week in succession, while all the Dacorum sides in action in the Herts Intermediate Cup went out at the third round stage.

Berko Rangers were hammered 7-0 by Cheshunt Corinthians, Neil Harper grabbed BSI's only goal as they were beaten 3-1 by Hatfield Yellows and DPFC were on the wrong end of an 8-0 pounding by Mill End Sports Sunday.

Landrovers won 1-0 at Gossoms End in the only BSFL Premier League fixture to take place.

Nick Bohknecht grabbed the game's only goal.

Berkhamsted Raiders (Henry Hadaway, Adam Goldthorpe, Tim Swaby) kept their place at the top of Division One with a 3-0 defeat of Old Grey Mare while Greenacres II won an 11-goal thriller with Tring Royals 7-4.

Alex Kingsley (2), Adam Charge (2), Dean Roper (2) and Tom Porter all notched for the winners with consolations coming from Chris Topping (2), Steve Malduca and Darren McDermott.

Chris Size and Dean Porter both hit the net twice for Landrovers Reserves who kept third place in Division Two with a 6-1 thrashing of Adeyfield (Paul Bullen), who are second from bottom.

Paul Townsend and Lee Meunier also scored for Landrovers.

Castlemead (Jason Short) are third from bottom having been beaten 2-1 by Mokoko and AMG United put in a storming display to see off KLCC AMS (Matt Smith).

Marc Knight, Lee Harris, Matt Richardson and Marvis Edmund (2) got the goals for AMG who are fourth in Division Three.

Matt O'Kelly was Draeger Medical's star man as he racked up three goals against Green Park Rovers. He was joined on the scoresheet by Lewis Gunn.

Haven (Erman Housein, Adrian King, Scott Harvey) meanwhile beat Hemel Abbotts 3-2 and the game between The George and Shaka was called off.
Division Four and The Queens Head still top the table after winning their sixth game in succession.

Paul Nolan, Brad Tyson and JM Thomas got the goals against AC Grapes (Dean Higgs) to keep up their 100 per cent record this season with a 3-1 victory.

Bennetts End Athletic stated their case to stay off the bottom with a 6-4 defeat of Anchor Tring.

David McConnon hit four for Athletic with Martin Sellman and Martin Kent also finding the back of the net.

Carl Baker's treble and a Ben Tiffin strike were not enough for Anchor.
Berkhamsted Tornadoes Reserves (Craig Anscomb (2), Ricky Shepherd, Dave Bayliss) kept their push for the top going with a 4-1 defeat of The Old Bell Gate while Palace (Chris Richards, Tony Holmes, Mark Purcell) won a tricky tie at Leverstock Green Centurians Reserves (Dylan Rance, Warren Davies) 3-2.

Fourth-placed The Old Bell had Ricky Jones to thank as he netted three against rivals The Gade.

Mark Sanderson scored two in consolation for the home side.
