Berkhamsted boss Rob Butler was 'embarrassed' by his side's latest result.
The Lilywhites were on the wrong end of a 7-2 thrashing from Chalfont St Peter, and put in the kind of second half performance he and fellow joint-manager Ian Richardson will be wanting to forget.
"Being 3-2 down was a fair result at half time," Butler said. "We just didn't turn up for the second half.
"We were just dreadful. I was embarrassed we were that bad.
"We just let them play. They are a good side but we are good enough and should be competing with teams like that."
Berko certainly looked good early on, going ahead through Ben Butler's 25 yard lob in the first half.
Chalfont bit back through Barry Brosnan on 32 minutes, before Gareth Aldridge put Berko back in front - the 18-year-old heading in Ashley Addison's cross for his first senior goal.
That was as good as things got for the visitors, as they found themselves behind by the break thanks to Charlie Strutton and Daniel Hughes.
The second half saw Chalfont steadily increase their lead, with Berko the architects of their own downfall with some slack marking at the back.
It finished 7-2 to Aylesbury, who leapfrog the Lilywhites in the Molten Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division.
Despite being disappointed with his side's performance, Butler believes they have the maturity to take his criticism on the chin and come back stronger for their next game.
"They have to take positives from what we are telling them," Butler added.
"We will be working hard on things in training. Their confidence shouldn't after one bad performance.
"We have just got to learn from it."
