Latest news from Berkhamsted Bowls Club, received May 12.
The men have had a busy time facing Garston in the National Top 11 Team competition where, despite convicing wins by David Brown in the 2 woods and John Webb and Terry Kenyon in the pairs, the match was drawn so a deciding additional end was played b
y the fours who lost out by 1 shot as darkness fell.

A team of 24 men with suppoters went to play The Royal Household in the grounds of Windsor Castle on Saturday in a hard fought match, which included a rain shower, the home team were the winners, top rink for Berkhamsted was Lyle Scott-Darling, Keith Little, Derek Sandford and Terry Kenyon but a good time was had by all and we look forward to the opportunity of playing again. A mixed triples match away against Pavilion on Sunday allowed Berkhamsted to come out victors by 93 shots to 71. Top rink was joint leads Frank Furlong/Nolan Biggs (each played 9 ends) with Albert Adams and skip Lesley Brown.
