Ashley Addison scored a hat-trick against Haringey Borough to send Berko fifth in the league.

The 21-year-old was accompanied on the scoresheet by debutant Shane Wood and Alex McCarthy, with Peter Owen and keeper Sam Styles also making their first appearances for the Berko first team during the 5-1 win.

Lilywhites' joint boss Rob Butler said: "It was a fantastic win. We played really well.

"Ashley is a player I have been wanting to play for me for the past three or four years, we finally got hit and he's been great."

On Saturday Berko go to mid-table Cockfosters in the Molten Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division, with defenders Jack Denham and Matt Gunary likely to return.

They were playing Chalfont St Peter as the Gazette went to press.
